Earlier Jordanian figures reveal a gap we cannot ignore.
Knew that COPD was a smoking-related respiratory illness in that same community study.

Who is invited?
Field teams visit households through the approved sampling plan, then check eligibility among adults aged 18 years and older. Participation is not open enrolment through this website.

What happens during the visit?
Study explanation and consent
The researcher explains the study, what you would do, and answers your questions before asking for consent.
Health questionnaire
Questions about respiratory health, symptoms, smoking, and selected household, environmental, and occupational exposures.
Lung function measurement
A spirometry test involving a full breath in followed by a strong blow into a dedicated device, with coaching from the researcher.
Review and close
The researcher checks that the visit is complete and explains anything you need to know before leaving.
